How to Throw a Shaved Ice Party (Kids Will Lose Their Minds)
One machine, a topping bar, and instant hero status.

Set up a build-your-own bar
The secret to a stress-free party is letting guests do the fun part. Set out bowls of syrups, cut fruit and chewy toppings and let everyone build their own creation.
- 3–4 syrups so there's variety without chaos
- Cut fruit: mango, strawberry, kiwi, pineapple
- Chewy bits: boba, mochi, jelly
- Fun finishers: condensed milk, toasted coconut, sprinkles
How much to make
Plan on roughly one to one-and-a-half cups of shaved ice per person, and make syrups the day before so party-day is just shaving and smiling. Keep a second block frozen as backup — you'll be more popular than you expect.
